Muslim teens and young adults are welcome to this weekly program to learn more about Islam.
Like Judaism and Christianity, Islam is a monotheistic religion rooted in the teachings of the ancient leader Abraham. It is based on the revelations of a sixth century religious and military leader from the Arabian peninsula named Muḥammad ibn `Abd Allāh. An adherent of Islam is called a Muslim and in Arabic the word "halaqa" refers to a religious gathering or meeting for the primary purpose of learning about theology.
