Explore the personal and storied art of calligraphy in this course for all learning levels.
Calligraphy is a type of visual art related to writing. Modern calligraphy ranges from functional hand-lettered inscriptions and designs to fine-art pieces where the abstract expression of the handwritten mark may or may not compromise the legibility of the letters.
Beginners work with a basic calligraphic hand, while intermediate and advanced students pursue their choice of styles. This session is part of an eight-week course. For more information, call (412) 361-0873.
