Fred Eats A Pea: A Reading & Pawtograph Session
Big Idea Bookstore  [ venue info ]
12/15/2012 1pm

"Fred Eats A Pea" is a gentle Children's book that tells the story of Fred, a dog who found himself being adopted by a family of vegans.

Everything was great until dinner was served --- peas. Fred learned how to love his new green diet, and this is a true story has helped children to recognize the value in trying new foods, especially vegetables.

Paula Weiner, a local artist helped find a new home for Fred when his elderly owner needed to go into an assisted living facility. "Fred Eats A Pea" was illustrated by Pittsburgh artist Tiffany Whitfield.

Depending on the weather, there may also be a special appearance by Fred himself! Since he is 16 years old now, he is somewhat selective in his personal appearances, but if conditions are right, he may even be there for a pawtograph session. For more information, call (412) 687-4323.
