Oakland Girls Choir celebrates the season with a special night featuring its stunning arrangement of "A Ceremony Of Carols".
"A Ceremony Of Carols" is a popular British holiday composition written in 1942 by Benjamin Britten (1913-1976) whose text is drawn from the poetry of Gerald William Bullett (1893–1958). The word "transeamus" is Latin for "let us go."
The Oakland Girls Choir is a project for girls ages 10 to 18 that is focused on achieving artistic excellence in an atmosphere of mutual respect and encouragement. For tickets, call ShowClix at (888) 718-4253.
