This ensemble composed of Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) undergrads, graduate students, staff and faculty welcomes their new music director, Michael van Camp, with a program themed "New Beginnings".

Among the works being performed is Russian composer Dmitri Shostakovich's (1906-1975) "Festive Overture," which begins with a fanfare in the brass, followed by a fast melody in the winds.
