Members of the community are welcome to a planning meeting to discuss how they can support the main library.
The Carnegie Library Of Pittsburgh is the city's public library system. It was begun in 1895 by industrialist Andrew Carnegie (1835-1919) as a reflection of his belief that the rich should use their wealth to benefit society. The main library is located in one large, magnificent building that is also home to the Carnegie Museum Of Art and the Carnegie Museum Of Natural History.
