Noted conductor Manfred Honeck leads the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra in a musical journey through the works of Austrian composer Gustav Mahler (1860-1911).

As a composer, Mahler acted as a bridge between the 19th century Austro-German tradition and the modernism of the early 20th century. This program features his technically and musically demanding seventh symphony, a grand work composed at a tumultuous time in the composer's life.
