American conductor and harpsichordist Jeannette Sorrell leads the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra in performing the supreme achievement of German composer Johann Sebastian Bach (1685–1750).
Referred to collectively as the Brandenburg Concertos, these six masterpieces pieces were unknown for over six generations until published as a commemoration of the 100th anniversary of Bach's death. They are widely regarded as among the finest musical compositions of the Baroque era.
