Italian cellist Enrico Dindo makes his Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra debut joining the orchestra in performing a concerto Russian composer Dmitri Shostakovich (1906-1975) created for famed cellist Mstislav Rostropovich (1927-2007).

In addition, Italian composer and conductor Gianandrea Noseda leads the orchestra in Czech composer Antonín Dvořák's (1841-1904) fourth symphony, an ambitious piece that reflects on the political struggles of the composer's native home of Bohemia
