Memorial Day Ceremony

Gather at the fire company's handsome granite memorial to honor five local men who gave their lives in World War II --- Walter Burak (who died at Guadalcanal in 1942); Kasmir Dziedzickie (Battle Of The Bulge, 1944); Robert Price (New Guinea, 1942); Mario Prisani (Battle Of Brest, 1944); and John Thomas (Burma, 1944).

Formerly known as Decoration Day --- first enacted to honor Union soldiers of the American Civil War --- Memorial Day commemorates U.S. men and women who died while in the military service.

They will learn about horse behavior, proper riding techniques, grooming and more.

Genre's Run For Cancer Kids 5K

Gather in this park in the charming rural town of Irwin for a family-friendly day of fun.

Proceeds benefit the Genre's Kids With Cancer Fund (GKWCF), which supports children and families emotionally, financially and spiritually on their journey through pediatric cancer.
