A poker run is an organized event using a motorcycle, boat, car or other form of transportation where participants travel over a predesignated route and, at designated stops on the route, draw playing card(s). The object is to have the best poker hand at the end of the run.
Donation is $25 rider and $10 passenger. The run will take place rain or shine. The event is sponsored by the Brentwood VFW Post 1810 and the VFW 1810 Post Riders.
Proceeds benefit the Pittsburgh Fisher House, which provides a place for visiting families to stay, free of charge, while their loved ones receive inpatient medical care at the nearby Veterans Administration Pittsburgh Healthcare System. For more information, call Rob Frank at (412) 683-7100.
