Events at Monroeville Park

Henry V
Monroeville Park  [ venue info ]
8/9/2013 through 8/11/2013

Enjoy an engrossing and entertaining production of William Shakespeare´s groundbreaking play --- a brilliant historical drama about one of England’s most famous monarchs, King Henry V (1386-1422).

The story centers on the events surrounding the 1415 Battle Of Agincourt, a decisive moment in the Hundred Years War (1337-1453) between England and France. Throughout, the young king must struggle with the sinking morale of his troops and his own inner doubts.

Admission is free. The play is staged outdoor by Poor Yorick's Players, a local troupe dedicated to entertainment, education and cultural enrichment through the dramatic arts, with specific emphasis on the works of William Shakespeare (1564-1616). For more information, call (412) 537-1705.
