Enjoy a themed day of living history focusing on "Outfitting An Army."

The event will include colonial re-enactors and special activities for the whole family to enjoy.

The event is included as part of the regular admission price at Fort Pitt Museum, one of the most affordable family-friendly cultural attractions in the region. Admission is just $6 for adults, $5 for seniors, $3 for children ages 6 to 17, students, and military, and free for History Center members and children under the age of 5. Celebrate America's birthday and the significance of Fort Pitt with a day featuring living history programming, musket demonstrations, and public readings of the Declaration Of Independence.

Fort Pitt was a military fort in the 18th & 19th century that stood in what is now Point State Park. The museum interprets for citizens and visitors the strategic importance of the area's rivers during key historic periods.

Enjoy a themed day of living history focusing on the 250th anniversary of the "Siege Of Fort Pitt."

The 1763 siege was part of an effort by American Indians to drive the British out of the Ohio Country and back across the Appalachian Mountains. The Indian effort to capture Fort Pitt ultimately failed. The event will include colonial re-enactors and special activities for the whole family to enjoy.
