The Rust Belt Rising Almanac Tour
Big Idea Bookstore  [ venue info ]
6/20/2013 7pm

Take part in a non-traditional book event as this national tour stops in Pittsburgh.

The Head & The Hand Press in Philadelphia is releasing "The Rust Belt Rising Almanac", an anthology of stories about growth, change and loss in America's Rust Belt though short stories, poems, essays and art, designed in the style of the almanacs of old. This almanac includes a prose story set in Pittsburgh about growing up in the shadow of the Duquesne, now GenOn, Power Plant.

This is not be your typical book talk. To share these stories with the people of the cities featured, company founder Nic Esposito appears with Philadelphia musician Todd Henkin to showcase the work in the Almanac through performance-based story telling and song. For more information, call (412) 687-4323.
