First held in 1910, Father's Day is a celebration of fatherhood and male parenting. It was created thanks to the effort of Sonora Smart Dodd (1882-1978), whose father was a Civil War veteran.

Mike Tomlin, head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers, is among the regional leaders participating in a conference designed to encourage and build men to become better, more Godly dads to their children.
Men will be able to choose their favorite breakout sessions with topics including "How To be A Godly Dad In A Blended Family"; "Being The Spiritual Leader Of Your Family" and "Fundamentals Of Being A Dad To A Daughter."

Jeeps from across the country are returning home to Butler County to celebrate the area's historic role in birthing this historic vehicle.
Founded in Butler in 1929, the American Bantam Car Company (also known as American Austin Car Company) pioneered the Jeep --- a brand of vehicle that was first used an an all-purpose transport by the US Army. The company folded in 1946; Jeep is now a division of Chrysler Corporation.
Main activities include the Jeep Invasion street party in Downtown Butler, off-road playground, trail rides, show 'n shine, WWII encampment, history exhibit, national vendors, flea market and more. Over 1,500 Jeeps from over 20 states are expected to attend and most activities take place in or near the park.
