June is Pride Month, when sexual minorities (homosexuals, bisexuals, lesbians & transgender people) throughout the U.S. celebrate their contributions, history and community. It is held nationally each June to remember the famous Stonewall Riots of June 28, 1969 which began the modern gay rights movement.
In Pittsburgh, most (but not all) of these events are coordinated through the Delta Foundation and the Pittsburgh Gay & Lesbian Community Center.
We will be adding revelant May & June events here as they become available to us.
