Both spiritual and secular activities will be placed here as they become available to us.
Passover is a Jewish holy day and festival that commemorates the story of the Exodus, in which the ancient Israelites were freed from slavery in Egypt. Occurring at the same time is Lent, the period leading up to Easter commemorating the death and resurrection of Jesus which Christians believe happened during the Passover season in the year 33CE. Ash Wednesday is the first day of Lent. This period of prayer and fasting reflects Jesus' 40 days of contemplation before starting His ministry.
In 2013, Ash Wednesday is February 13; Passover begins March 26; Good Friday is on March 29 and Easter Sunday is March 31.
