
10. 4th River Projects
Several of the 4th River Projects will be presented at the festival's 937 Liberty Ave. headquarters.
"Along These Rivers: Poetry & Photography from Pittsburgh" -- A book, edited by Judith Robinson and Michael Wurster, comprising work by 88 local artists and published in celebration of the city's 250th anniversary.
Contributing poets will read at 3 p.m. June 7 in a program titled "Along These Rivers: Poetry from Pittsburgh" ($5), complemented by the exhibition "Along These Rivers: Photography from Pittsburgh," which runs June 6-11.
At 8 p.m. June 13 and 14 and 2 p.m. June 15, Pittsburgh Playback Theatre presents "The Unintended" by Paulo Nzambi, based on the plight of refugee Afghani children in Pakistan ($10). The play is complemented by an exhibition of photographs by Khadra Mohammed of the Pittsburgh Refugee Center, "Forgotten Refugee Children: No Return Home," June 13-22.
