Broadway singer/actor Anthony Rapp will play the title role in City Theatre's musical, "Hedwig and the Angry Inch," May 1-June 8. Rapp is best known for originating Mark (the movie-making central character) in "Rent" and he appeared in the movie "A Beautiful Mind."

Directing "Hedwig" will be Brad Rouse, for the past eight years an assistant to director Harold Prince. He and Rapp will audition Pittsburgh rock musicians for the band.
