Hollywood swung into summer early with "Spider-Man." Cirque du Soleil is camping out on the North Side. And the Post-Gazette Pavilion (which we do not book, by the way) is two shows into the shed season.

Clearly, summer doesn't wait for Summer Times anymore.

So, we pick up the season in progress with a handy guide to all the fun things in store, from festivals to straw-hat plays to those coveted free concerts.

Now for a gentle reminder. Every year we get calls from readers who inadvertently threw this tabloid away and are wondering why we never put out a summer section.

Don't be one of those people!

Put your Summer Times aside and keep it safe. Don't recycle it. Don't line the litter box with it. Don't even swat a fly with it!

You'll need this to get through September. Even if you just want to know what everybody else is doing. ...
