PITTSBURGH, January 10, 2005 – The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette is pleased to announce the hire of Michael Sexauer to the position of Database Marketing Manager. Sexauer joins the newspaper with a wealth of experience in direct marketing and strategic planning.
A graduate of Wake Forest University’s Babcock Graduate School of Management, Sexauer’s expertise includes direct marketing and strategic planning. In his new role, he will oversee market research and serve as a consultant to advertisers on how they can best reach their target markets through traditional newspaper products and direct marketing.
Acting Director of Advertising Terry Cascioli said, "In the development of this new position, we are seeking ways to further expand the services we offer advertisers in order to meet their ever-changing needs. This new focus on database marketing will help us do that."
Sexauer plans to utilize the company’s consumer data in a way that will serve as an important resource for the newspaper and its advertisers alike. One of his first projects will be to analyze and recommend changes to the paper’s distribution of preprints to non-subscribers.
